With over 25 years of experience as a lawyer, Gene has developed extensive expertise in estate planning, personal injury law, business transactional work, and civil litigation. He has successfully represented clients in high-stakes cases involving water rights, construction defects, will contests, partition, personal injury, and insurance coverage.

Gene has represented individuals and insurance companies in scores of personal injury claims. He has also been engaged as personal counsel by personal injury defendants to monitor counsel hired by the insurance carrier. In that capacity, he has successfully convinced carriers to settle cases within policy limits to prevent personal exposure by the insureds.

Gene is known for his meticulous preparation, zealous advocacy, and composure under pressure. He builds close partnerships with clients based on trust and transparency. Gene is committed to obtaining the best possible results for each client.

In his free time, Gene enjoys hiking and spending time with his wife, Jenny, and their three adult children, Joel, Spencer, and Lila. He also enjoys traveling. He and his wife especially relish making trips to Spain, where they met while studying as undergraduates.
